2. Interview and assessment. Parental interviews and child assessments are conducted as part of the process. Pre‑Nursery requires an informal interview with a parent; Pre‑School requires an informal interview with the parent and child; Primary (Year 2–Year 6) and Secondary (Year 7–Year 9) involve online assessments with an interview for the child. High School pathways (IGCSE and A‑Levels) require online assessments and subject exams; Maths and English exams may be required for IGCSE, and an English exam is required for selected A‑Level courses; letters of motivation may be requested and a meeting with the High School Principal is required. A psychologist interview may be advised.
3. Admissions decision. Thames British School offers a place subject to the results of assessments and interviews. The decision indicates whether admission is accepted, postponed, or refused. Parents are informed of the outcome.
4. Filling Enrolment form. By completing the Enrolment Form you confirm acceptance of the offer. The Registration form should be completed to admit the child to the school. The enrolment form link is provided on the admissions page.
5. Signing Contract. After receiving the Registration form, the contract is prepared and signed by the school. The contract is sent to you for signing, and enrollment is finalized once you return the signed contract. The school confirms completion of enrollment once the contract is signed.

Thames British School Madrid is a British international day school for ages 1 to 18, located in Madrid. The school teaches in English and follows the National Curriculum for England, with languages including Spanish, German and French. It offers a broad Cambridge-based programme from Pre-Pre-Nursery through Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS Levels and Cambridge A Levels, alongside the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in the senior years. In Years 12–13, a courses and careers programme supports subject choices and pathways. The curriculum is closely aligned with the English National Curriculum, and English language development is provided for pupils whose first language is not English.
