The Academy International School provides a British‑based international education for ages 2 to 18. The curriculum combines the National Curriculum of England and Wales with progression routes to Cambridge IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Opened in 1985 as a summer and then preparatory school, it now serves hundreds of pupils from diverse backgrounds and is an examination centre for Cambridge assessments and the IB. It is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain. The campus covers Early Years to the IBDP, with EYFS indoor–outdoor classrooms, technology spaces and specialist areas for music, IT, art and science. Primary facilities include laboratories and a library; Secondary spaces feature an amphitheatre, laboratories and themed classrooms; IBDP facilities also include amphitheatre and dedicated labs. Sports facilities are extensive, from Astroturf pitches and a swimming pool to paddle courts, tennis and riding areas. The school draws students from across continents, with many from Spain, the UK and Germany, fostering a global perspective. Extracurriculars include Academic and Intellectual, Cultural and Language, and Community and Service clubs.
