History

The Global College is an international IB school in Madrid, founded to provide students with outstanding preparation to navigate a world of constant change and technological breakthroughs. It is strongly influenced by IE University's distinctive and international education. The Global College welcomes students and teachers of all nationalities and cultures and uses an International Baccalaureate-based curriculum to prepare students for leading universities worldwide. Diego del Alcázar Benjumea is a co-founder of The Global College. The campus is in central Madrid, in the heart of the city, with a newly refurbished residence within walking distance of the college.

Community

The Global College fosters a global and diverse community, welcoming students and teachers from many nationalities to enrich learning and intercultural understanding. Our curriculum is taught in English with other modern languages available as elective subjects, reflecting its international approach. The college culture is modern, co-educational, progressive and international, with an atmosphere of mutual respect between students and staff. The Global College offers financial support options and grants to promote diversity in class.

The Global College is a Madrid-based international IB Diploma Programme school for ages 15 to 18, offering a day and boarding program anchored in IE University. English is the language of instruction. The campus hosts 12 classrooms, discussion rooms, science labs in Biology and Physics & Chemistry, a radio lab, a filming studio, a library, a technology and design hub, Entrepreneurs Live Hub, coworking space, and 1000m² outdoor area to support practical, interdisciplinary learning. The IB Diploma Programme requires six subjects across Groups 1-6, with current English Language A, Spanish Language A and French Language A options and related SL/HL courses; the Diploma Core includes EE, TOK, and CAS. Boarding facilities are nearby in El Viso, with single or double rooms, common areas, garden, wifi, housekeeping, and catering. Extra-curriculars include 30+ clubs, social service trips, and a Winter Campus trip to Val Thorens with an Entrepreneurship Challenge.
