Billing schedule and payment terms
- Academic year: three terms (Autumn, Spring and Summer). Tuition fees are charged per term.
- Standard payment timing: tuition and other charges are payable termly in advance and must be paid within the first ten days of each term unless a Monthly Agreement is in place. Late payment is subject to a surcharge (5%) and non-payment may result in loss of the pupil's place. Specific services (for example, bus and catering) may be billed on different schedules (the school operates some services on a monthly/10-payment basis).
- If a Monthly Agreement is signed, the school allows monthly instalments under the agreed plan.
Refund and cancellation rules
- Registration fee refund: if an application is unsuccessful, EUR 130 of the initial EUR 170 registration fee is refundable.
- Deposit refunds and notice to leave: the deposit is refundable when the child leaves provided parents give the required written notice by the published cut-off dates for each term and all fees are paid and school materials returned. Specific cut-off dates are set for each term; if proper notice is not given, the deposit (or part of it) may be forfeited. Parents who withdraw a child during term time must generally give 95 days' written notice to avoid forfeiting the deposit; pro-rata daily fees may be charged to the leaving date.
- No refunds for unused tuition, transport, catering, extracurricular activities or excursions where the student does not attend for any reason (the school's policy states no payments will be refunded for non-attendance). Compulsory excursions only refunded with a medical note. Exam fees and other external charges are also not refundable once incurred.
Boarding
- Boarding is not applicable: Wingate operates as a day school (no boarding provision).
Fee payment options
- The published materials state required timings and instalment arrangements (termly in advance within the first ten days of term or under a Monthly Agreement). Specific payment methods (for example, bank transfer, credit card, direct debit) are not enumerated in the public fee documents. Parents use the school's enrolment and finance arrangements to make the required payments under the school's stated deadlines. Late payments attract a surcharge and may affect continued enrolment.
