Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Wingate School began its journey in 1982 with just nine students, founded by Mr. and Mrs. Green. The proprietors are the Green family who founded the school. The school is located in Cabo Blanco, Arona, Tenerife, Spain. It has grown into a dynamic international community of more than 570 students representing over 32 nationalities.

Community

Life at Wingate goes beyond the classroom with an innovative curriculum, extracurricular activities, and excursions in a caring community. Wingate follows the National Curriculum set out by the British Government. Extracurricular activities include lunchtime clubs and after-school activities such as French, sports, sewing, debate, computing, music, choir, chess, football, robotics, tennis, Lego and English booster. Excursions such as whale watching, beach cleanups and dog rescue supplement the curriculum, and Green Park and a butterfly conservatory provide hands-on learning outside the classroom.
