How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

Lund International School is an IB World School offering Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme for students aged 3 to 16, with an international daycare for children from age 2. The school is located near the centre of Lund and is accessible by bus routes 1, 6 and 171. There is no school fee for families living in Lund Municipality; preschool fees are 2.4% of combined income, with a monthly maximum of 1089 SEK. Admissions criteria follow Swedish law for international schools and define eligibility as: living temporarily in Sweden, having previously followed an international curriculum abroad and benefiting from continuing at an international school, or families living in Sweden who will move abroad soon; and the main home language being English with sufficient English to participate in lessons. If eligible but places are full, priority is based on waiting queue status and the presence of siblings at LIS. Applications are submitted online; documents may be requested (proof of temporary stay, proof of plans to move abroad, latest report card, and possibly a meeting). Having a place at the preschool does not automatically guarantee a place at the school.
