Fee Breakdown

Fees
Application fees

- No separate application fee is charged for admission to Lund International School; there is an online application process for admission and no published per-application charge is shown.

Tuition and tuition by year group (per term / per academic year)

- Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP), students resident in Lund Municipality: SEK 0 per term / SEK 0 per academic year (no school tuition charged). This applies to PYP and MYP students who are resident in Lund municipality.

- Preschool / Early Years (children from age 2–3 entering preschool): fee is charged as a percentage of the family's combined gross income under the municipal child‑care fee system. The stated rate for preschool placements at Lund International School is 2.4% of combined household income; the municipal cap (maxtaxa) framework applies and the school quotes a maximum of 1,089 SEK per month for preschool placements. Preschool fees are therefore expressed and billed as a monthly amount derived from that percentage and cap.

- International daycare (daycare separate from preschool): fee is charged as a percentage of the family's combined gross income; the school states 3% of combined income for the international daycare programme. Maxtaxa rules for municipal child‑care apply to these charges. Daycare fees are therefore calculated as a monthly amount based on that percentage within the municipal cap framework.

- Students whose families live outside Lund Municipality: an IB (international school) fee is applied from PYP1 and up for non‑resident families. The school's published information confirms that an IB fee is levied for families living outside Lund's municipality boundaries (the school states that Lund residents do not pay a school fee while out‑of‑municipality families pay an IB fee from PYP1 upward). Specific nominal amounts for the out‑of‑municipality IB fee by year group or per term are set by the school/municipal arrangements and are not given as a flat published per‑year figure in the school's admissions material.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Preschool and daycare charges are calculated under the municipal maxtaxa system (percentage of combined gross household income with statutory monthly maximums) and are billed on a monthly basis according to municipal practice for child‑care fees. The maxtaxa framework and monthly billing for municipal child‑care apply to preschool/daycare placements. For PYP and MYP students resident in Lund municipality there is no tuition invoiced.

- For families living outside Lund Municipality who are charged an IB fee, billing frequency and payment terms follow the school's published admissions/administration arrangements for non‑resident fees (IB fee invoicing is handled through the school's administration).

Boarding fees

- Boarding is not applicable. Lund International School operates day programmes (Early Years / Preschool, PYP and MYP) for children aged roughly 2–16 and does not offer boarding.

Other costs and typical additional charges

- Meals: Healthy lunches are prepared daily in the school's on‑site kitchen and are provided as part of the school day for pupils. Municipal schools in Sweden supply school meals as part of school operations. Any additional costs for special on‑campus events, trips or optional activities may be charged separately under school or municipal activity rules.

- Extracurricular activities / holiday fritids: The school offers an After School Programme (fritids) and Holiday Fritids; participation and holiday registration arrangements are described by the school. Fees for optional holiday care or extra‑curricular activities are managed according to the school's enrolment and municipal fee rules for child‑care and fritids.

- Uniforms and school clothing: The school's published programme information makes no standard uniform requirement; normal day clothing and appropriate outdoor wear are used for pupils. Lunch and routine school provisions are organised through the school's on‑site kitchen.

- Transport: School transport / school‑bus arrangements and any transport charges are governed by municipal rules for pupil transport where applicable and are not included in the municipal/tuition items noted above; such costs are treated separately if they apply.

Refund information and fee adjustments

- Child‑care (preschool/daycare/fritids) fees and any adjustments are administered under the municipal maxtaxa and municipal fee control rules; billing corrections or fee adjustments are handled through the municipal/school administrative procedures used for municipal child‑care. Fee control and adjustments follow municipal rules for calculating and reconciling income‑based charges. For PYP and MYP students resident in Lund municipality there is no tuition to refund.

Fee payment options

- Fees and invoices for preschool, daycare and any charged IB fees are handled through the school's administrative billing system; municipal child‑care billing is normally processed as monthly invoices under municipal billing systems. Standard municipal payment channels (electronic invoicing / bank transfer and municipal invoicing procedures) are used for municipal fees; specific permitted payment methods for IB fee invoices (for out‑of‑municipality families) are provided by the school's administration when invoicing.

Notes for practical use in a parent‑facing database entry (declarative statements):

- Residents of Lund Municipality (PYP and MYP): no tuition charged (SEK 0 per term / per year).
- Preschool: charged as 2.4% of combined household income, maxtaxa applies; the school quotes a maximum of 1,089 SEK per month for preschool. Fees are calculated monthly.
- International Daycare: charged as 3% of combined household income (maxtaxa framework applies); fees are calculated monthly.
- Out‑of‑municipality families (PYP1 and up): an IB fee is applied; the school administers IB fee invoicing for non‑resident families.
