Fees

Application fee and one-time new-student charges

- Application fee: CHF 3,000.
- Initial uniform package (new students): CHF 6,990.
- Enrolment deposit (per student): CHF 15,000 — refunded within three months following the end of the fiscal year in which the student's school career concludes, subject to full settlement of the account.

- Grades 11–12: CHF 148,440 per year (boarding + tuition; includes senior supplement).

Per-term billing detail and billing schedule

- Academic year is invoiced over three terms.
- Invoice timing and payment deadlines:
- Invoice covering Term 1 and Term 2 (two-thirds of annual charges, plus items billed annually such as uniform for the year and school books) — payment due by April 15 (or upon receipt if enrolling later).
- Invoice covering Term 3 (one-third of annual charges) — payment due by January 31.
- Other bills (supplementary or incidental charges) are payable within 30 days of issue.
- Practical effect on per-term amounts (base tuition/boarding only):
- Grades 6–10: combined Term 1 + Term 2 invoice = CHF 91,360; Term 3 invoice = CHF 45,680.
- Grades 11–12: combined Term 1 + Term 2 invoice = CHF 98,960; Term 3 invoice = CHF 49,480.
- Interest on overdue balances applies at 5% per annum from the due date until full settlement.
- No place is reserved until the enrolment deposit has been paid.

Optional / additional academic and personal charges

- Supplementary language group lessons:
- 3 lessons per week (annual): CHF 6,000.
- 5 lessons per week (annual): CHF 10,000.
- Private lessons:
- Per lesson: CHF 145.

- Pocket money service: prepaid cards are provided for younger grades and topped up weekly; replacement card fee CHF 40. Weekly pocket money guidance varies by grade and term.
- Supplementary and optional charges that are invoiced as incurred may include extra private lessons, sport/athlete development programmes, medical costs not covered by insurance (e.g., dental), transport, excursions beyond included trips, additional uniform, expedition equipment, additional books, shipping/customs, visa/residence permit costs, and personal purchases. A detailed invoice is sent after each term for supplementary charges.

Refunds, cancellations and withdrawal rules

- Deposit refund: the enrolment deposit is refunded within three months after the end of the fiscal year in which the student's school career concludes, subject to confirmation that the account is fully settled.
- Cancellation by new students: cancellation fees equal to Term 1's boarding and tuition fees become payable if enrolment is cancelled after the published cancellation deadline for the planned start date.
- Withdrawal by returning students: if parents withdraw a student during the academic year, fees for the current term and the boarding/tuition fees for the following term remain payable.
- All withdrawals or cancellations must be sent in writing and acknowledged by the school.
- Any refund due will be paid back into the account from which funds were originally received.
- The school may suspend or withdraw students for non-payment; places for existing students cannot be guaranteed if payments are not received on time.

Payment methods, currency and payment restrictions

- Payment currency: CHF only.
- Accepted payment methods: bank transfer to the school's CHF account (UBS Villars; IBAN and SWIFT/BIC provided in school payment information) and online payments (credit card accepted via the school's online payment portal). Cash payments are not accepted.
- Bank transfer details and the online payment portal are provided for invoicing and settlement; payments originating from certain sanctioned countries or sanctioned accounts cannot be accepted.
- Any overdue payment accrues interest and may affect the student's continued place at the school.

Additional practical points about billing and coverage

- The published boarding and tuition fees include accommodation, meals, laundry, standard class tuition, use of sports facilities, some transportation to specified airport dates, and personal third-party liability insurance; certain items (specific trips, external exam fees, some language lessons, medical expenses not covered by insurance, private lessons, and personal purchases) are charged in addition.
- School books for the official programme are rented for the year; lost or unsatisfactorily returned books are charged.
- Supervised transport to/from Geneva Airport is included only on the school's specified dates; transport outside those dates is chargeable.
- Any queries about specific optional services, dates for invoiced trips, or supplementary charges will be shown on the termly invoice.

Beau Soleil is a private international boarding school in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland, serving students aged 11–18.
