Academic and Intellectual

Beau Soleil offers more than 90 after-school activities, enabling students to discover new passions and develop their talents. The co-curricular programme includes debating. Hip-hop dance, baking, and bird watching clubs are also available. A broad range of sports is offered, from tennis and swimming to yoga and Taekwondo.

Arts and Creative

Beau Soleil's creative and performing arts programme provides outlets for creativity and self-expression across drama, music, dance, and the visual arts. Juilliard collaboration shapes drama, with after-school clubs, LAMDA qualifications, concerts, and the school production offering opportunities to shine. Drama features a live theatre program and an annual school production, with opportunities to work backstage or with lighting and sound. Music includes instruction and school ensembles, with access to technology for production and recording.

Cultural and Language

Model United Nations programme encourages debate on global themes. Historical debate clubs are available to explore different perspectives. Beau Soleil offers more than 35 international trips, including end-of-grade adventures to Costa Rica, Cambodia, Malta, and the Maldives, and half-term trips to Bhutan and Patagonia. European weekend excursions, such as Prague and Barcelona, broaden cultural horizons.

Social and Hobbies

Beau Soleil offers a wide range of hobbies and clubs, including cooking and baking, bird watching, chess, and historical debate clubs. The sports programme features football, basketball, sailing, and horse riding, along with activities like bouldering, track cycling, night ski touring, Taekwondo, and more. Students can also pursue hobbies such as dog walking, outdoor reading, and publishing a school newspaper.

Community and Service

Community service is a core part of Beau Soleil, with activities that help people in the local community, including the Les Gentianes project. The Model United Nations programme encourages debate on global themes. Students undertake service projects that foster social responsibility and engagement.

Beau Soleil runs seven whole-school challenges that push students to overcome adversity and be their best. Beau Soleil is a private international boarding school in Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland, serving students aged 11–18. It offers the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 6–10 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) for Grades 11–12, with the option of a US High School Diploma. The MYP curriculum spans eight subject groups and develops subject knowledge, global understanding, and essential skills and values. In Grades 11–12, students may pursue the IBDP (available in English, French, or bilingual form) or the US diploma; the IBDP core comprises Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service. The school sits on an alpine campus with specialist arts, design, and music spaces, extensive sporting facilities, and The Hub, a design-technology and filmmaking centre. An English faculty supports multilingual study, and many students graduate with a bilingual IB diploma after studying up to three languages. The Global Campus links Beau Soleil to Nord Anglia Education and partners such as The Juilliard School, MIT, and UNICEF for arts, STEAM, and international development. Founded in 1910, Beau Soleil joined Nord Anglia Education in 2011. The Winter Programme and a broad activity slate enhance outdoor and co-curricular learning.
