The language policy integrates English into the French section and French into the English section, promoting bilingual fluency across the school. Languages are taught to high levels under CEFRL objectives, with classes grouped by language level and taught by native-speaking teachers. Additional languages available include German, Spanish, Chinese and Italian, depending on the section. Official language certifications offered include DELF (French), Cambridge English (English), Goethe (German), Instituto Cervantes (Spanish) and Confucius Institute (Chinese).
Bilingual French/English Primary welcomes students aged 6 to 11 in three sections: French, English and Bilingual. It is based on British and French curricula, and learners study in French and English on a rotating schedule, fully immersed in a bilingual environment. German is introduced in the last two years of primary after achieving proficiency in the two languages. The program nurtures plurilingualism and cultural diversity within an international learning community.
Bilingual French/English Early Years offers fully immersive, dual-language instruction equally in French and English for ages 3 to 6, with two full-time teachers who are native French and English speakers. Students join a diverse, international, plurilingual community and learn through play and exploration. The Bilingual French/English Primary provides a fully immersed bilingual environment, with language learning spanning French and English and the introduction of German in the final two years. Across Early Years and Primary, the language policy promotes plurilingualism and cross-cultural references.
Institut International de Lancy is a private international bilingual school in Switzerland serving ages 3 to 18. The curriculum spans EYFS, British and French Bilingual Curricula in the Primary years, and English or French Secondary programmes, leading to Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. An IB World School and Cambridge IGCSE centre, IIL also offers an Advanced Bilingual IB Diploma option and a plurilingual language policy that blends English in the French section and French in the English section.
