Introduction

International School Rheintal is a non-profit, authorised International Baccalaureate World School in Buchs, Switzerland, serving ages 3 to 18. Refunds and withdrawal penalties
- Early withdrawal fees (partial-year charges) are applied by date of withdrawal: withdrawing between 1 April 2026 and before the first day of classes incurs 25% of the annual tuition; withdrawing before 15 Nov: 45%; before 1 Jan: 65%; before 1 Mar: 75%; after 1 Mar: 100% of the annual tuition. Notification of leaving is required by March 31 each school year for exemption from fees for the following school year. No refund of fees will be issued if the school is forced to close due to circumstances beyond its control. Bus fees and some other services may not be refunded for withdrawal during a semester; pro rata billing applies for mid-year enrolment.

Admissions
1. ISR is non-selective and welcomes all families with children aged 3 to 19 who share the school's vision and mission. Applications are accepted year‑round, provided spaces are available, and the school offers support to make entry as simple as possible. 2. To determine the appropriate grade for a child, use the admissions calculator and start by entering the child's date of birth to reveal the key steps to joining. 3. To apply, read and complete the application form and the financial regulations, and pay the application fee; submissions can be made by email or in paper form. 4. Documentation must include a completed application with a photo, copies of the student's passport, the signed ICT form, school records for the last three years, and any relevant education plans or standardized tests; assessments in English, mathematics and non‑verbal reasoning may be requested, and a personal interview is desirable. 5.
