Academic and Intellectual

Primary School follows the English National Curriculum in the Foundation Stage, and Key Stages 1 and 2 from Class B onward. Secondary School follows the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) from Year 7, combining academic rigor with project-based learning and skill development. For Years 12–13, VIS offers the IB Diploma Programme or the High School Diploma Programme, with guidance to tailor the best pathway for each student. The Vision is to be recognised as a leading international school where academic excellence, outdoor education, future-ready skills and a strong sense of belonging prepare students to thrive as global citizens.

Social and Hobbies

Enrichment includes chess, woodwork, choir, cooking, drama, cross stitch and arts and crafts. The Student Council provides student voice with two representatives per year group and regular meetings; class representatives meet weekly and the full Council meets monthly. Debating is offered as an ASA, and students have opportunities to stretch and challenge themselves beyond the classroom through a range of activities.

Community and Service

Primary School involves children in events in the local community and further afield. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is offered to students over 14, with Bronze, Silver and Gold levels emphasizing service and personal challenge. Weekend life for boarders includes excursions to cities in Switzerland, Italy and France, and cultural and nature-based trips. Care at VIS centers on a warm, family-focused environment that supports healthy relationships and a connected curriculum with PSHE programmes.

Leadership and Professional
