The East African Model United Nations (EAMUN) stands at the forefront of the leadership program, with Key Stage 4 and 5 students attending an extra-curricular club to polish their leadership and diplomatic skills. The International Award and the in-house Junior Dragon Award Scheme build resilience, communication, flexibility and resourcefulness in students. The Nature School site supports cross-curricular enrichment with enrichment programs and regular off-site visits.
Performing Arts features four major productions each year, including a large Secondary School production in Term 2 that tours theatres in Nairobi, Dar-es-Salaam and Arusha. Regular music recitals, dance performances, visiting acts and class assemblies occur throughout the year. Key Stage 4 and 5 music, drama, performing arts and media (IGCSE and BTEC) contribute to a long-term program of entertainment within the school calendar. LAMDA is offered as an extracurricular activity for Primary and Secondary students, with peripatetic teachers providing instrument instruction and many students taking ABRSM examinations.
The school prioritizes language education and actively encourages every child to engage in learning Swahili, with Years Four to Six completing Swahili examinations. Swahili is promoted as a widely spoken language in East Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, with A-Level classes able to sit for Swahili exams and obtain international certificates. MS TCDC offers Swahili immersion programs and opportunities for cross-cultural understanding.
Regular music recitals, dance performances and class assemblies occur throughout the year, providing social and collaborative opportunities. Visiting acts enrich the calendar, adding diverse cultural experiences for students. Peripatetic teachers provide instruction in different musical instruments, and many students participate in ABRSM examinations.
Saturday School is an initiative to support local children through reading, mathematics, physical education and team building. BISA supports environmental and community projects locally and globally, actively recycling with Chanzi-Okota, fundraising for Walk in Love and Maternity Africa, and offsetting transport carbon emissions through Carbon Tanzania.

Sports are integrated from Early Years through the Sixth Form, with timetabled lessons for major sports and after-school and weekend coaching. Inter-house competitions celebrate achievements, and the East African inter-school sports circuit provides higher-level competition. International sports excursions have visited the UK, the United States and Dubai in recent years.
Braeburn International School Arusha is a co‑educational day and boarding school serving ages 1 to 18. The school follows an English National Curriculum framework adapted for an international context, offering EYFS, the British Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge A Levels and a BTEC qualification. At Primary, from Year 1, the curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, computing, geography, history, art and design, design technology, PSHE and citizenship, with specialist sessions in French, Swahili, music, physical education and swimming. The Kisongo campus provides boarding houses, libraries for EYFS to Secondary, music and IT suites, and laboratories, studios and preparation rooms. Facilities include an examination hall, a Sixth Form unit, multi‑purpose fields, a floodlit court, 25‑metre and learner pools, an indoor hall and a wetlands zone.
