Boarding provides 24/7 adult supervision on a 44-acre campus with on-site sporting facilities including two swimming pools, football fields, a sports hall, tennis courts and a golf course. Each boarding house is managed by a full-time house parent and an assistant house parent; a nurse remains on campus providing 24/7 care, supported by a partnership with Bangkok Hospital Phuket. Boarding houses use facial-recognition technology for all-access and boarding-house key-card verification; weekend boarding trips are offered for boarders.
The uniform consists of a blue polo shirt and shorts for everyday wear, with an optional batik dress for girls. Covered-toe footwear is required every day, and trainers are required for PE. Uniforms and sporting equipment are available from the School Shop.
The campus provides on-site dining facilities for students, with dining spaces within the site.
The school is governed by a Board of Governors, directly appointed by the owners of the school, with general oversight of business and academic standards, assets and finances. An Executive Committee (EXCOMM) acts as the operating board and includes the CEO, Managing Director, Financial Director and Headmaster. Management comprises two integrated areas: Academic Leadership under the Headmaster and a Senior Leadership Team, and Business Management under the Managing Director with responsibility for campus operations. The Parent Teachers Association (PTA) supports the school but does not have decision-making authority.
Founded in 1996, the British International School Phuket (BISP) is a co‑educational day and boarding school on a secure 44‑acre tropical campus in Phuket, Thailand. It serves about 1,140 students aged 2–18 from over 56 nationalities. Learning begins in English‑medium Early Years following a play‑based British curriculum, transitions through National Curriculum Key Stages 1–3, then IGCSE exams in Years 10–11, and culminates in the IB Diploma Programme in Years 12–13. A BTEC Sports Diploma is also available. Facilities include five science labs, design tech workshops, two art studios, performing arts spaces, tennis courts, swimming pools, aerial arts and a golf training centre. Unique offerings include four sport academies (golf, football, tennis, swimming), active performing arts ensembles, and a well-being and outdoor education program.
