The Ontario curriculum is the core framework for Grades 9 to 12, supplemented with mathematics and language programmes (White Rose Maths and Jolly Phonics & Grammar) and transdisciplinary learning within the IB PYP framework, with ongoing formative and summative assessments aligned to IB PYP principles. In Grades 11 and 12, the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is delivered through a partnership with Rosedale Global High School. The OSSD is an internationally recognized Canadian diploma from the Ontario Ministry of Education. The OSSD requires 30 credits (18 compulsory and 12 elective) and includes provincial requirements such as a community service component. The PYP to MYP transition begins in Grade 6, with MYP through Grade 10, before moving to Grades 11–12 for the high school pathway to the OSSD.
Extracurricular activities are offered each term and include: Cooking; Outdoor exploration; Singing and dancing; Tennis and badminton; Muay Thai; Taekwondo; Storytelling; Football; Rugby; Hockey; Junior scientists; Gymnastics; Thai reading and writing; Basketball; Board games; Anime; Arts and crafts; Creative expression; Ultimate frisbee.
The Canadian International School of Thailand (CIST), located in Bangkok’s Pinklao district, offers the Ontario-based Canadian curriculum from Early Years through Grade 12. Students in Grades 11 and 12 graduate with the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), and the school also delivers the IB Primary Years (PYP) and Middle Years (MYP) Programmes. The campus sits on 9.2 acres beside the Chao Phraya River and features indoor and outdoor sports courts, a gymnasium, tennis courts, and a waterfront garden. Instruction is in English, with additional language options including Mandarin, Thai, and French. One distinctive aspect of CIST is its partnership with Thewphaingarm Canadian Bilingual School (TCBS), allowing shared access to facilities and activities. Older students can also participate in a Canada Term program, experiencing life and study in Ontario for part of the academic year.
