HHIS follows a three-phase curriculum: Lower Secondary uses Key Stage 3; Cambridge IGCSE is offered in Years 10–11; and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is studied in Years 12–13. The school is an IB World School offering the Diploma Programme in the final two years. Cambridge IGCSE provides a globally recognised qualification, while the IB Diploma offers a broad, inquiry-based programme in the final years.
Arts and creativity are supported through extracurricular activities, including Choir and Crochet. ECAs are led by HHIS staff and external providers, with some activities running before school and after school (3:30pm–4:25pm) and some activities requiring additional payment.
Extracurricular activities include Basketball, Football, and Swimming. Karate, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Model United Nations, Chess, and Choir are available as clubs or programmes.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is offered at HHIS, and the school is an award centre for the programme. The award emphasises opportunities for community and outdoor engagement.
There is an active School Council as part of Student Life. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award and Model United Nations also provide student leadership and skills development opportunities.
ECAs include Basketball, Football, and Swimming. Additional activities such as Karate, and access to facilities like crossfit, badminton, and tennis are offered through external providers. ECAs run before school and after 3:30pm, with termly information emailed to parents.
Hua Hin International School (HHIS) serves children aged 3 to 18 in scenic Hua Hin, Thailand, situated near Black Mountain with views over lakes and mountain ranges. The school follows the English National Curriculum through Key Stage 3, progresses to Cambridge IGCSE in Years 10–11, and culminates in the IB Diploma Programme in the final two years. Class sizes are typically around 15 children, with a maximum of 20. Instruction is in English, with Thai taught both as a first and second language in Primary, and choices of Spanish or Mandarin from Year 3.
