KIS International School Bangkok is a full IB World School offering the IB continuum: Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3–11, Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11–16, Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16–18, and Career-related Programme (CP) for ages 16–19. All students learn through IB programmes, with the curriculum structured around the four IB programmes as a unified framework for all subjects. The IB framework at KIS connects learning across levels and blends elements from various national curricula to support international-mindedness. The four IB programmes are delivered on a single campus to ensure coherence across primary and secondary education.
Primary ECAs offer arts, crafts, dance, instrumental music, IT, science exploration, sports, cooking, and games after school for all grades. Secondary School runs Student-Led Clubs for Grades 6–12, initiated and led by students with teacher advisors. Extracurricular Activities are run by faculty, external providers, or responsible adults and include tutoring, academic enrichment, community service opportunities, as well as music, arts, sports, and cultural activities.
English is the shared language of instruction at KIS. English Language/Language + Literature is taught in PYP/MYP/DP, with English as an Additional Language (EAL) support. Spanish and Mandarin are offered as Language B or Ab Initio in MYP/DP. Thai Language/Language + Literature is offered across levels, with Thai as an Additional Language in the PYP and TAL for non-Thai students; Non-Thai students may participate in Thai Studies; Other Languages Programme (OLP) supports additional home languages.
Primary School ECAs run after school for Early Years to Grade 5 and include arts, crafts, dance, instrumental music, IT, science, sports, cooking, and games. Secondary School offers Student-Led Clubs for Grades 6–12, led by students with teacher advisors. ECAs are run by faculty, external providers, or other adults and include tutoring, academic enrichment, community service opportunities, and cultural activities.
Global Citizenship is a formal program that defines how students understand global systems, engage with diverse perspectives, and address challenges with intercultural understanding. The school empowers learners to lead with understanding and drive positive change for a better world. ECAs and school life include community service opportunities that support social responsibility.
Student-Led Clubs are initiated and led by students with teacher advisors, providing leadership development and opportunities to become effective communicators and problem solvers.
