From ages 2 to around Grade 12, RISR uses a modified American curriculum that progresses through developmentally aligned standards in subjects such as English, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, technology, and physical education. In the Early Years (ages 2–5), the program blends the Reggio Emilia approach with the Creative Curriculum Units, focusing on child-led exploration across developmental domains. The Elementary School (Kindergarten–Grade 5) follows an inquiry-based model, grounded in internationally recognized standards, alongside social-emotional learning through the Second Step program. In Middle School, learning shifts to integrated, flexible instruction, supported by advisory programs and character development frameworks such as Responsive Classroom and Restorative Justice. At High School (Grades 9–12), the curriculum adopts a STREAM (Science-Technology-Recreation-Engineering-Arts-Math) approach, allowing students to choose Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and prepares them for a future diploma; the school is also pursuing IB authorization.
Located just north of Bangkok in Nonthaburi, Ruamrudee International School’s Ratchapruek Campus (RISR) opened in August 2019 and serves students from Pre‑K 2 through Grade 11, with its first Grade 12 cohort launching in August 2025. Students follow a modified American curriculum aligned with AERO standards and, in upper grades, may choose between the IB Diploma Programme or the AP track. The school emphasizes inquiry-based STEM learning, service projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and creative expression through arts competitions and summer art classes. With English as the medium of instruction, and character development rooted in the “union of hearts” philosophy, RISR offers a nurturing and community-minded environment for international families seeking academic, creative, and service-oriented growth.
