Ruamrudee International School was founded on May 17, 1957, by the Redemptorist Fathers and expatriate parishioners, originally operating in downtown Bangkok before relocating to Minburi in 1992. The Ratchapruek Campus (RISR) opened in August 2019 in Nonthaburi as RIS’s second modern campus. RISR remains under the same ownership and philosophy as the original campus, embracing RIS’s founding motto “union of hearts”.
RISR’s community gathers frequently for cultural and seasonal celebrations, such as Songkran with traditional water-pouring, Loy Krathong lantern-making, Chinese New Year, Halloween sing-alongs, Christmas musical performances, and International Day events. The school also hosts community highlights such as “Ad Astra” exhibitions, games days, bridging ceremonies, and charity recitals that engage parents, students, and staff alike.
The school’s community includes structured interactions such as Parent‑Teacher Conferences (PTC), giving parents one-on-one time with teachers to discuss their child’s progress, held early in the campus’s first year. Events like the Ad Astra Day invited over 140 prospective parents to engage with school leaders and faculty around shared values, programs, and the ongoing vision for RISR. The PTA also partners in community events, from charity recitals and family fetes to cultural celebrations, helping to organize, support, and co-host these gatherings alongside faculty members.
Located just north of Bangkok in Nonthaburi, Ruamrudee International School’s Ratchapruek Campus (RISR) opened in August 2019 and serves students from Pre‑K 2 through Grade 11, with its first Grade 12 cohort launching in August 2025. Students follow a modified American curriculum aligned with AERO standards and, in upper grades, may choose between the IB Diploma Programme or the AP track. The school emphasizes inquiry-based STEM learning, service projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and creative expression through arts competitions and summer art classes. With English as the medium of instruction, and character development rooted in the “union of hearts” philosophy, RISR offers a nurturing and community-minded environment for international families seeking academic, creative, and service-oriented growth.
