Silver Fern International School was founded in 2016 to serve families in Roi Et who wanted an international option without sending children to schools outside the province. As of 2023, SFIS operated nine classes from EYP 1 (ages 3–4) to Middle Years 1 (ages 11–12), with a plan to add one grade level each year until completion of secondary school. The school does not publicly disclose its ownership structure in the materials reviewed.
SFIS runs a full annual calendar of community and cultural events, including International Day, Loy Krathong, Chinese New Year Celebration, Sports Day, Book Week, Swimming Gala, PYP Exhibition, Student-Led Conferences, and Graduation. Silver Fern International School (SFIS) in Roi Et, Thailand, is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3–11 and a candidate for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11–16.
