Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

St. Andrews International School Sukhumvit 107 (often referred to as S107) was founded in 1997 in the Bang Na area of Bangkok to provide international education from early years through secondary school. Its development coincided with the growing demand for British curriculum schools in eastern Bangkok, particularly near Sukhumvit Road. Over the years, the school expanded its offerings to include IGCSE and the IB Diploma and Career-related Programmes, becoming a full-through school for students aged 2 to 18. S107 joined the Cognita network, which supports educational quality and safeguarding standards across its schools.

Community

S107 is home to more than 40 nationalities, promoting a culture of inclusion and respect. The school organizes events like International Day, coffee mornings, and transition activities to help families feel connected and supported.

Parent-Teacher Association

Rather than a formal PTA, S107 encourages active collaboration between parents and teachers. The school provides multiple channels for two‑way communication such as parent‑teacher conferences, information evenings, and informal sessions to support students’ academic and emotional development. Parents are invited to engage in school life through volunteering, community events, and workshops designed to help them better support their children at home and school.
