UDIS is situated about 20 minutes north of Udon Thani city centre, along Mittrapab Road, in a primarily residential area of northeastern Thailand (Isan region). It benefits from straightforward road access into town and sits in a calm neighbourhood setting.
UDIS serves students aged 2 to 18, structured across four key stages: Early Years (ages 2–5), Primary (ages 5–11), Middle Years (ages 11–16), and the Diploma Programme (ages 16–18).
UDIS is a co‑educational day school. UDIS does not operate its own boarding facilities on campus. Instead, the school partners with trusted homestay providers in the Udon Thani area to offer safe and supportive accommodation for students. Their preferred provider is Hug Udon, a local team experienced in hospitality, recommended directly by the school for homestay arrangements. The school is also planning to develop its own boarding facility in the future, and invites interested families to contact them for more information or to register their interest.
UDIS provides inclusive learning support through dedicated staff—such as a Learning Support Coordinator, learning support teachers and assistants—and tailored programmes to help students access the curriculum or extend gifted learners. These services are offered in collaboration with classroom teachers, and may involve additional fees if specific support is required
The school has no formal national affiliation with any country.
UDIS has no religious affiliations.
There is not enough information publicly available about the school's day structure.
UDIS operates its own school bus service covering three zones within Udon Thani. The service adheres to safety protocols, including the use of seat belts, and is managed directly by the school.

Udon Thani International School (UDIS), founded in 2013 and welcoming its first students in August 2014, offers education for children aged 2 to 18. Located about 10 minutes north of Udon Thani city centre on Mittrapab Road 7, UDIS blends the National Curriculum of England with the International Baccalaureate PYP, MYP, and DP programmes. Class sizes are intentionally small, supporting personalised learning. Instruction is primarily in English, with Thai language taught in-school (and extra classes offered) to support both Thai and international students. The campus emphasises STEM learning, outdoor education through environmental design, and a Community Partnership Programme that embeds service and sustainability into school life.
