Languages taught are English (Language A), Arabic (Language B host language), and French (Language B). English is the medium of instruction; Arabic is taught as the host language and French as a language acquisition subject. All students study English Language and Literature, and Arabic and French as Language Acquisition; EAL support is provided for learners with English as an Additional Language, delivered in-class and after school.
English is the language of instruction and communication. Arabic is the host country language and French is taught as a second language. Language A is English and Language B includes Arabic and French.
French is taught through an interactive immersion approach to language learning. Arabic is taught according to proficiency levels with placement tests. Beginner EAL students follow an immersion program with intensive EAL support.
The British Academy of Tunis offers an International Baccalaureate Continuum for ages 3 to 18. The Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) are fully accredited, with English as the language of instruction. In the early years, the school follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, introducing English, Mathematics, Science, Phonics, Writing, Arts, Physical Education and Storytelling. The IB curriculum is implemented throughout the campus, supported by a PYP Coordinator and an MYP Coordinator, and a DP Coordinator oversees the Diploma. The school fosters a cross-cultural environment, with events and trips as part of School Life. Activities include a Book Fair and visits to sites such as Friguia Park, Ennejma Ezzahra Palace, and the Bardo Museum. Community involvement includes Ramadhan donations, an olive harvest at SIDI THABET disabled farm, and visits to an orphanage. Health and wellbeing services support students' academic and mental well-being.
