ALKEV Private Schools began in the 2000-2001 academic year with 57 students from kindergarten to second grade, supported by foundation trustees and engaged parents. The school opened in 2000 and expanded with the F Block Indoor Sports Hall in 2004, a new classroom building in 2007, and a renovated kindergarten in 2010-2011. In 2013 the ALKEV Private Anatolian High School opened; science labs were modernized, funded in memory of the late Mr. Selim Demiren, and German Language Diploma (DSD) School status was achieved in 2015. In 2016-2017 a German-centered program for primary students began with native German-speaking teachers, and in 2018 ALKEV became an IB World School. By 2021-2023 the campus added the high school C Block and a second sports hall.
ALKEV's campus life centers on cultural events hosted in the Z. Mercan Işıl Conference Hall, opened in 2011 for large gatherings. German officials have visited ALKEV Schools over the years, including the Consul General's visits in 2013 and 2019, and other officials in 2018, reflecting its international ties. The school offers an international program with IB World School status since 2018 and a German-language program since 2016-2017. The News section highlights clubs and events such as World Citizens Club Campaign 2026, Debate Event by Global Explorers Club 2026, and MUN achievements.
The PTA at ALKEV private schools aims to integrate school and family, to ensure communication and cooperation between parents and the school, to support educational development activities, and to cooperate on behalf of all parents in school administration and with teachers who educate the students.
ALKEV Private Schools, located in Büyükçekmece, Turkey, operate as coeducational day schools offering IB Diploma Programme, Chinese National Curriculum, and a bespoke curriculum.
