It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Al Mawakeb operates three campuses: Al Garhoud, Al Barsha, and Al Khawaneej. Each campus publishes its own registration procedures and forms. The admissions steps below reflect the published procedures for each campus.
Al Mawakeb Al Garhoud – Registration Procedures
1. All new students from KG to Grade 12 must sit for an assessment and an interview. The application and processing fee is 525 AED (inclusive of VAT) per student and is non-refundable. The assessment and interview determine admission eligibility.
2. The results of the assessment and interview are not disclosed until all documents have been submitted to the registrar's office. This ensures the admissions team has the full set of records before communicating outcomes. The process applies to all new applicants.
3. Parents must proceed to the Registration/Accounts department in the school to complete the registration procedures, update the database, and make payment. The process occurs at the school and involves finalizing registration details.
4. Parents must sign and approve the recommendations after the entrance assessment (including Special and Academic Support classes). This confirms placement decisions.
5. Registration will be cancelled if a student fails to join the school for 3 consecutive weeks of the academic year without prior written notice. This preserves enrollment capacity.
6. Registration to any class is not final until all proper documentation is available, the annual tuition fees are settled in full per the school's fee settlement procedure, the KHDA contract is signed, and approval from the relevant authority is obtained. Finalization occurs only after these requirements are complete.
7. New Students applying from outside Dubai must submit legalized transfer papers before the end of September. This ensures transfer validity.
8. Grade 10, 11 and 12 students must submit a passport copy with a residence visa valid for at least 6 months and the original Emirates ID. This documentation is required for enrollment.
9. The school may take photographs of your child(ren) and may use these images in printed publications, as well as on the website or social media platforms. Consent is part of the admissions process.
