Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Uniforms are compulsory for all students. Uniform items can be purchased at Magurdys store in Mirdiff City Center, which will provide a full price list. All uniform items must be clearly labelled with the student's name.
Catering is provided by Leela's Lunches. Meals are made fresh from scratch with fresh fruit and vegetables; wholegrains are prioritized; sweet snacks are naturally sweetened with dates or fruit; organic, hormone-free and antibiotic-free ingredients are sourced where possible. Students use a cashless card to purchase items from the canteen, and the available categories include hot meals, hot and cold sandwiches & wraps, healthy sweets, organic juices, and savory snacks, with typical item prices ranging from AED 8 to 18.
The school operates a four-house system named after influential women: House of Malala (Yellow), House of Zaha (Pink), House of Noura (Blue), and House of Jane (Green). Each student is assigned to a house for the duration of their time at AAG, and inter-house competitions across sporting and academic activities contribute to a House Cup awarded each term. House leadership roles exist at multiple levels, including Heads and Captains within divisions.
The school is part of the Taaleem group and is governed by a School Executive Board. There is also a School Advisory Board composed of parents, staff and community representatives, alongside members of the Taaleem Executive Board. The SAB exists to facilitate involvement and provide feedback on school operations.
