Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

Ash Mount School delivers an international learning pathway that blends a globally recognised curriculum framework with the English National Curriculum, aligned to UAE Ministry of Education expectations. Across all stages, there is a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, connecting ideas, skills, and knowledge across subjects. The curriculum is inquiry-driven with balanced assessment and flexible pathways to support individual learning goals and future opportunities. The language of instruction is English.

Arts and Creative

Art and design facilities support creativity through light-filled studios for drawing, painting, digital media, and three‑dimensional work; a flexible black box theatre supports voice, movement, and performance; and dedicated dance studios enable movement-based expression. The campus provides spaces for visual and performing arts as part of the learning journey, including opportunities to create, rehearse, and showcase work.

Cultural and Language

The Enrichment and Co-Curricular Programme includes languages and culture, with additional language learning such as French and Spanish alongside Arabic enrichment; Home Language Clubs foster language practice and cultural immersion. These experiences broaden global awareness and cross-cultural understanding.

Social and Hobbies

Entrepreneurship and Enterprise is among the co-curricular strands, with innovation clubs and start-up projects that develop leadership, initiative, and commercial thinking. The programme also includes design thinking workshops and chess or logic challenges to strengthen problem-solving and collaboration. Sport and wellness programs focus on movement, team sports, fitness, and healthy habits.

Community and Service

Community involvement is supported by service projects and community partnerships, aligned with UAE Vision 2071 and Futures Hub guidance on university, careers, and service opportunities. Wadi-inspired planters turn courtyards into gardens, enabling students to test eco-friendly methods, design irrigation, and practice stewardship through real tasks that matter.

Leadership and Professional

Leadership development is integrated in the Enrichment and Co-Curricular Programme through Entrepreneurship and Enterprise activities and opportunities to lead on start-up projects. The Futures Hub provides university, careers, and service guidance to help students plan their next steps. Students are encouraged to develop leadership, initiative, and practical skills through project-based learning and collaboration.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The wellbeing framework centers on five interconnected domains: emotional resilience, physical health, social connection, academic balance, and personal growth. Wellbeing is embedded across curriculum, pastoral care, the House system, service projects, and community partnerships. The campus offers indoor and outdoor facilities for athletics and movement, with daily activity, team sports, fitness programs, and wellness initiatives supporting healthy habits.

Specialized spaces such as 3D sculpture studios, dance studios, and a dedicated wellbeing hub provide targeted support. A signature element is the school’s interdisciplinary focus, bridging subjects to tackle global issues. Students also engage in concrete enrichment programs, such as home language clubs, financial literacy sessions, and student start-up incubators, ensuring practical readiness for life beyond graduation.
