From Year 1 upward, a range of free and paid ECAs runs four days a week, with students able to choose two activities. The clubs include sports clubs, chess, drama, maths club, athletics and Eco Club. Termly educational visits and trips from FS2 upward support the curriculum topics. The IB Diploma Programme promotes critical thinking, research and global awareness, and includes the CAS programme to develop creativity, activity and service.
Extra-curricular activities include drama, music, arts and crafts, performing arts, sports and dance. There are dedicated music and art spaces and specialist music teachers to support learning. These activities nurture creativity and self-expression.
Arabic is taught from Nursery for native and non-native speakers; from Year 1 Arabic lessons are split into native and non-native groups. French is offered from Year 3. Spanish is taught from Year 3 onward. Public speaking and debating are used to develop confidence in speaking to an audience.
A wide range of after-school clubs supports teamwork and social development, including drama, dance, sports and other activities. Team sports promote collaboration, and drama and dance foster teamwork. The program emphasizes creativity and self-confidence.
The IB Diploma Programme includes community engagement and service-learning; CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) promotes creativity, activity and service, and encourages students to engage in meaningful activities outside the classroom.
Sports facilities include a large multi-purpose hall/gymnasium, an indoor sports court, two astro pitches, a padel court, a multi-use games arena, two swimming pools (junior and senior), a dance studio and a podcast studio. PE and swimming are integral to the curriculum, and Healthy Week and House Days promote physical wellbeing. The school promotes healthy eating with a catering partner and a Fruit and Vegetable of the Week initiative; nuts, sweets and fizzy drinks are not permitted in packed lunches.
