Aspen Heights British School was founded in September 2017 to serve the growing educational needs of the surrounding Al Bahya and Al Raha communities in Abu Dhabi. It offers the National Curriculum of England to students in a personalised way, integrating the local community and environment, for children from Nursery (age 3) to Secondary. The school has been authorised as an IB World School, approved to offer the IB Diploma Programme to Year 12 from September 2023, with the first IB Diploma Programme cohort starting in 2023/2024. AHBS follows the English National Curriculum from EYFS (age 3-4) up until Key Stage 4 (age 14-16) and then transitions to the IB Diploma Programme for Key Stage 5 (age 16-18). The school adds one year group with each new academic year as the IB provision expands.
Aspen Heights British School provides a supportive and engaging international environment, with a curriculum that integrates the local community and environment through environmental themes. It is part of International Schools Partnership (ISP), a global community of 80+ schools across 22 countries focused on growing curious and confident minds. The campus features environmental features such as a hydroponics greenhouse and animals to support hands-on learning. The school emphasises close relationships with families and the wider community as a distinguishing feature of its culture.
