Capital School Dubai was founded in 2014 on Baghdad Street in Al Qusais, Dubai. In 2019, new owners and management reinvigorated the school and aligned it with the National Curriculum of England for students aged 3 to 18. The expansion plan aimed to create an all‑through school offering Sixth Form by September 2024. KHDA inspections in 2022 rated the school GOOD, and the 2021 BSO inspection also rated GOOD. The school is governed by a Board of Governors, whose members serve on a voluntary basis and oversee the strategic direction and financial performance.
Capital School Dubai emphasizes culture and a global outlook, drawing on its rich and varied culture to enhance the British curriculum. Each pupil is assigned a House Tutor who provides daily guidance, and a House Personal Support program focuses on mental, social, physical and emotional development. The Extracurricular program offers a broad range of clubs, including Mindfulness, Art, Homework Club, Student Newspaper, Drama, Debate Club, Choir, Band, School Council, Eco-Warriors, STEM, Lego, Computer Club, Board Games, Arabic Club, Islamic Club, Ballet, Netball, Gymnastics, Football and Water Polo. Open Days and the Parent Portal provide channels for family engagement.
There is no dedicated PTA page publicly described on the site; parent engagement is facilitated through Open Days and the Parent Portal. The School Council is listed as part of the Extracurricular program, indicating student representation rather than a formal PTA. The Extracurricular program includes Mindfulness, Art, Homework Club, Student Newspaper, Drama, Debate Club, Choir, Band, Eco-Warriors, STEM and other clubs. Governance is provided by a voluntary Board of Governors that sets strategy and oversees finances. Open Days provide opportunities for parents to engage with staff and learn about the school's programs.
