Dwight School Dubai was founded in 2018 as the first Dwight School campus in the Middle East, joining the Dwight global network that began in New York in 1872. The Dubai campus opened in fall 2018 on a large, shared campus in Dubai Sports City, developed in collaboration with Brighton College UK and the Center of Excellence for Arabic Language, Culture and the Arts. Dwight Dubai offers the full International Baccalaureate continuum (PYP, MYP, DP), aligning with Dwight's global mission to ignite the spark of genius in every child. It is the fifth Dwight Global campus to open, reflecting ongoing network expansion.
Dwight School Dubai emphasizes a collaborative, globally minded community that connects students, families, and staff across its IB programmes. The school hosts a range of community events and student-led initiatives, such as the Zayed Crew, a student-led group honoring UAE culture. Parent and community activities include Ramadan Iftar organized with Dubai Police, as well as coffee mornings and other gatherings coordinated by the Community & Events team. Programs like Spark Tank and Model United Nations (MUN) provide opportunities for cross-campus collaboration and extended ECAs.
Dwight School Dubai has a formal Parents Association programme, designed to involve parents in school life. The PA coordinates celebrations, cultural events, book fairs, arts and drama productions, musical events, and sporting activities, with parent volunteers and links to the school calendar. Parents use the SchoolsBuddy platform to sign up for ECAs and to participate in parent-teacher conferences, and can access the iSAMS Parent Portal to monitor attendance, reports, and timetables. The My Dwight portal provides parents with information on student performance and school events as part of the broader parent engagement ecosystem. The school is supported by a dedicated Community & Events Manager who coordinates events such as Ramadan Iftar and coffee mornings, and there is active parent involvement in sustainability and other community projects.
