Emirates American School supports social and emotional learning (SEL) through Life at EAS, which promotes holistic development with student-led clubs, leadership roles, peer mentoring, and campaigns such as Anti-Bullying and Healthy Lifestyle, complemented by the Nojoom Framework and Spark Program.
SEN and Inclusion support is provided via an Inclusion/SEN Coordinator (Ms. Thanaa) and a School Wellness Team including a SEN/Inclusion Head and Social Workers; the policy describes monitoring vulnerable students and inclusive safeguarding practices.
The ESL program provides tailored instruction to help non-native English speakers improve reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills; ESL teachers use methods to support participation in academic and social life.
Mental wellbeing is supported through the wellness framework and safeguarding measures; the school maintains a Wellness Committee led by the School Counselor, and student wellbeing is integrated with life activities such as peer mentoring and anti-bullying campaigns.
