The school follows a British curriculum and is part of Fortes Education. The school offers education from Nursery through Year 13. The school combines a rigorous academic programme with a Positive Education ethos and a broad range of signature programmes, including STEAM & Design Thinking, AI Learning Platform and a Careers Development Programme. In Secondary, French is taught as a Modern Foreign Language and the KS4 curriculum includes Science (Double Award).
Performing Arts, Media & Communication is a Signature Programme with opportunities in drama, music, film and journalism. The Art Department offers a broad range of disciplines including fine art, digital art, textiles, sculpture, pottery and print-making. In Primary, students engage in drama, junior journalism and performance poetry; in Secondary, they participate in theatre productions, film projects and media internships. The school also runs an editorial team with student reporters who publish an online and physical newspaper and podcasts.
French is taught in Secondary as a Modern Foreign Language. The school has a diverse community with more than 83 nationalities. Regent maintains international links, including a partnership with Geelong Grammar School. Secondary students have opportunities for global experiences through Term and/or Summer Abroad.
Regent offers more than 160 free ECAs across sports, arts, journalism, robotics and more, all included at no extra cost. Activities include the Duke of Edinburgh Award, World Scholar's Cup and Model United Nations, along with lunchtime enrichment clubs and inter-school competitions. The ECAs cover primary and secondary interests through STEAM, academics, sports and creative clubs.
The Environment & Sustainability Programme embeds environmental awareness and action, with projects on pollution and climate change and community engagement in nature-based activities. It highlights partnerships and learning about sustainability aligned with COP28. The programme aims to develop environmental changemakers and to influence school and community practice.
The Careers Development Programme provides university and career guidance, guided by a dedicated Careers Department. It includes the Think & Thrive entrepreneurial speaker series, mentorship for summer internships and extensive career counselling. Regent graduates progress to top universities worldwide, including Carnegie Mellon, the University of Michigan and Imperial College. Fortes Education provides industry connections and internships to support student progression.
The Positive Education ethos anchors wellbeing in school life and guides daily practice. Every Regent teacher is trained in PosEd and students participate in weekly meetings about character strengths and mindful practices in the Wellbeing Room. The PosEd framework emphasizes six focus areas: Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning & Purpose, Accomplishment and Health. The school promotes a safe, supportive environment that prioritizes mental and physical health.
