SMS is a K–12 school with an enhanced American curriculum based on the California Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics. The Next Generation Science Standards are observed for Science. The UAE Ministry of Education program is used for Arabic, Islamic Education, and Social Studies. The school is NEASC-accredited.
The ENGAGE Extended Day Program offers enrichment activities including arts and crafts, music and movement, storytelling, and science experiments. It provides opportunities for creative expression through art projects, music, drama, and dance. Field trips and guest speakers supplement thematic units that integrate arts with STEM.
