SEL at Springdales Dubai is supported by a Universally Taught Wellbeing Curriculum aligned with the CBSE curriculum and KHDA Wellbeing Framework, a school‑wide emphasis on positive mental health, staff training on mental health, Student Wellbeing Champions, and Individual Care Plans for students.
SEN is supported by SAWA, the Inclusion Department, which serves Students of Determination, English language learners, and Able, Gifted and Talented students with academic and social‑emotional support, life skills training, a sensory room, in‑house speech therapy (in collaboration with outside agency), psychological support, parent training, examination accommodations, and access to alternative subjects from grade 9.
EAL support is provided through SAWA with differentiated teaching, targeted interventions, and peer support to help English language learners gain confidence, access the full curriculum, and participate in school life.
Mental wellbeing is central to the Wellbeing Policy, which aims to promote positive mental health and emotional wellbeing for all students, staff, and families; it features a Wellbeing Curriculum aligned with KHDA and CBSE, staff training, Wellbeing Champions, Individual Care Plans, and a Mental Health Support Line with listed agencies.
Safeguarding is governed by the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, with designated safeguarding leads (e.g., Ms. Nesly Mohammed as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and deputy leads across phases), direct reporting contacts, the Dubai Police Child Protection Hotline (800‑243), local safeguarding partners, and a four‑part framework (safeguarding, prevention, protection, and appropriate support); the next policy review is planned for June 2026.
