ISC-Ajman opened in September 2016, initially serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 6. It is a member of the SABIS network and implements the SABIS Educational System, a program developed and refined over more than 135 years. The school now offers a trilingual education with options in French or Mandarin for students from Pre-KG to Grade 12. SABIS emphasizes academics, self-development, and life preparation, underpinned by traditional values such as hard work and responsibility. In its early years, ISC-Ajman expanded to include Grades 7 and 8 in the 2017–18 academic year and continues toward a full K–12 offering.
ISC-Ajman serves a multicultural community, with students from numerous nationalities; by its early years it welcomed around 400 students from 38 nationalities. The school organizes events to celebrate diversity, notably International Day, first held in 2022, with dances from China, France, the UAE, and the United Kingdom and a traditional fashion show by younger students. The SABIS Student Life Organization anchors student life and community engagement through clubs, competitions, and service activities. ISC-Ajman regularly hosts regional SABIS events, including basketball competitions and ballet performances, involving students and the wider school community.
A formal PTA is not described in ISC-Ajman's public materials. Parent involvement is integrated within the SABIS Student Life Organization framework, which centers student life and community engagement. Parents participate as attendees or volunteers at school events and activities that connect families to the ISC-Ajman community, including the multicultural International Day and SABIS regional events. Examples of events with family participation include the Inter-SABIS Under-13 Girls' Basketball Competition and the SABIS Regional Ballet Competition hosted in the UAE. The school's family engagement is facilitated through school communications and event planning within the SABIS network, rather than a separate PTA structure.
