ISC-DIP opened in September 2012. It is a multinational, non-selective, co-educational, English-medium day school and a member of the SABIS Network, a global education network that traces its origins to 1886. In the 2016-17 academic year, ISC-DIP enrolled approximately 3,100 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The SABIS curriculum is designed to prepare students for international external exams, including American (SAT, TOEFL, AP) and British (IGCSE, AS and A Levels) assessments. The school operates within the SABIS framework, maintaining a long-standing international education tradition.
The ISC-DIP community reflects Dubai's local and international mix, with families from a variety of nationalities and backgrounds. The SABIS Student Life Organization (SLO) is at the heart of school life, empowering students to participate in during-school, after-school, weekend activities, and regional and international experiences. The school calendar includes events such as Mother's Day, UAE National Day, musical concerts, KG concerts, Sports Day, Grade Trip outcomes, and ballet performances, which involve students, families, and staff. Parent stories and testimonials published on ISC-DIP Stories highlight parental engagement and positive school experiences.
There is no separate PTA page published for ISC-DIP; parent involvement is primarily facilitated through the SABIS Student Life Organization (SLO), which coordinates student-led activities and family engagement. The SLO structure includes departments led by prefects, with resources such as The Role of the SLO, The SLO Honor Code, A Look Inside the SLO, and The Prefect guiding student leadership. Training events like the SLO Mini Conference (October 2024) prepare prefects and staff to collaborate effectively and strengthen school leadership with parent and community support in mind. School events such as Mother's Day, UAE National Day, musical concerts, KG concerts, and ballet performances involve families and parents in school life. Parental perspectives are also shared in ISC-DIP Stories, which feature testimonials from families about their involvement and experiences with the school.
