History

AZBUKA Foundation has pioneered Russian-English bilingual education since its launch in 2000. The AZBUKA Nursery opened in 2002 and became the UK's first Ofsted-registered pre-school with a Russian curriculum for bilingual children. AZBUKA Russian-English Bilingual School operates in London at Studland Hall, Studland Street, Hammersmith, and is led by Headteacher Ms Maria Gavrilova. The school describes itself as an international, multicultural project in London.

Community

AZBUKA is a multicultural school community with staff, students and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. English and Russian are central to the bilingual curriculum, and the community emphasizes learning, cooperation and thriving together across languages. AZBUKA Russian-English International School & Nursery is a London-based independent bilingual school offering EYFS and the British Curriculum for ages 2 to 11. The nursery is registered with Ofsted as the UK's first pre-school with a Russian curriculum for bilingual children, and the primary school at Studland Hall (Hammersmith) teaches a bilingual programme with English and Russian as the main languages.
