Eligibility rules apply.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Billing schedule: Fees and charges for each term are payable in full on or before the first day of the relevant term; fees for each term are due and payable as cleared funds before the commencement of that term.
- Preferred payment method: The school asks that fees and charges are paid by direct debit; direct‑debit instructions are provided by the Finance Department. Fees can be paid via monthly direct debit through the School Fee Plan service (School Fee Plan is a trading style of Premium Credit Limited). Those wishing to pay in advance may use the school's Fees in Advance scheme.
- Late payment: Overdue sums will incur a late payment surcharge / simple interest of up to 1.5% per month (charged on a day‑to‑day basis). The school may exclude a pupil for non‑payment; prolonged exclusion for non‑payment can be treated as withdrawal and a term's fees may be charged in lieu of notice.

Notice, withdrawal and refunds
- Notice period: A term's written notice is required to withdraw a pupil or to change boarding status (or change Nursery days). Where a term's notice is not given, a term's fees are due in lieu of notice.
- Deposit refunds: The Acceptance Deposit (and any Additional Deposit paid) is refundable by credit against the final account when the pupil leaves, except where the deposit is non‑refundable because the accepted place was not taken up. If fees are increased with less than a term's notice, parents may withdraw in writing within 21 days and the Acceptance Deposit and Additional Deposit (if paid) will be refunded without interest, less any sums owing to the school.
- General refunds: Fees will not be refunded, reduced or waived for absence through illness, term shortening or vacation extension, early release home before or after public examinations, temporary school closure for safety reasons, or other similar circumstances, except in exceptional cases at the sole discretion of the Head or where a legal liability requires refund.

Fee payment options and arrangements
- Direct Debit: the school requests payment by direct debit; instructions are available from the Finance Department. Fees must be cleared funds before term starts. Monthly direct‑debit instalments are available via School Fee Plan (Premium Credit Limited). Fees in Advance arrangements are available for parents who wish to pay in advance. Specific card, bank transfer or other payment acceptance is managed by the Finance Department and related payment providers; the School is an appointed representative of Premium Credit Limited for the monthly plan.

Summary note on charges and eligibility
- All stated fees include VAT where applicable. Certain charges (lessons, coaching, trips, occasional boarding, devices, meals, specific activities) are charged in addition to term fees as described above. Discounts and concessions (Forces discount, sibling reductions, scholarships/bursaries) are applied according to eligibility rules; a scholarship or bursary will reduce other eligibility discounts for that child. The Governors reserve the right to change the basis on which eligibility awards are made.

Admissions

Admissions

1) Entry points and initial visits. There are six key entry points: Nursery, Reception, Year 3, Year 7, Year 9 and Year 12. Before applying, visiting the school is encouraged to understand the environment and opportunities on offer. 2) Registration and initial submission. After a visit, prospective parents complete the relevant registration form and pay a £216 registration fee. For Year 12 (Arkell House) applications for September 2027, the application form must be requested ahead of the deadline of Wednesday 14 October 2026, and applicants will be invited to interview before a place is offered; places in Arkell are subject to availability and external candidates are admitted first. 3) Preparatory and senior admissions procedure. The admission procedure consists of four elements: a taster visit (Year 3 only); entrance assessments (where applicable); interviews (where applicable); and school reports and references. A satisfactory taster visit is required for Year 3 entry, and entrance assessments apply for other entry points as described. 4) Senior School entrance assessments and interviews. For entry to the Senior School (Years 9–11), candidates sit entrance assessments in Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning, followed by interviews. There are two types of interviews: a general interview and, for certain years, an option interview to discuss subjects with the Deputy Head Academic. References from the candidate's current school provide additional context about academic ability, behaviour and involvement in the school community. 5) Year 12 (Sixth Form) entry requirements. All Year 12 candidates must meet admissions criteria, including the relevant entrance assessments or GCSE results, a satisfactory reference, and evidence of commitment to the School's ethos. GCSE requirements are typically: six GCSEs at A-B (9-6), a minimum of a C in Maths and English, and usually at least a B in the subject to be studied in the Sixth Form. 6) International and visa considerations. International pupils are considered on the basis of a positive confidential reference, an interview, and appropriate assessments; additional admissions criteria may apply for visa sponsorship and parents should contact the Head of Admissions for details.

Scholarships

Year 9 and Sixth Form Scholarships are available for entry to Year 9 and to the Sixth Form. Scholarships are awarded to talented pupils who show outstanding potential academically or in Art, Drama, Music or Sport. Scholarships for Year 9 and Sixth Form are normally for the duration of the pupil's time at the Senior School and may be combined, subject to a total value not exceeding 40% of the fee. Financial assistance is available to families who win a scholarship and may be provided to help with entry. Applications are invited from both new pupils and current pupils. For Sixth Form, information about Year 12 scholarships for entry in September 2027 is published in the Sixth Form Scholarship Booklet. Deadlines for Sixth Form scholarship applications are published (e.g., 14 October 2026 for external applicants) with a scholarship assessment morning and related dates. Further information, including means-tested financial assistance, is available and can be requested through the admissions team.
