The school follows the Japanese Ministry of Education curriculum with an English language component added for all year groups. English Conversation is taught by British teachers in small classes for four hours per week, focusing on practical English through discussion and field learning. In the middle years, science is taught; from middle school year 3 to high school year 2, IGCSE science is offered to prepare for UK external qualifications, and in the humanities track, history is taught by British teachers. The school has designated university admission slots, including for Rikkyo University.
Music education is part of the curriculum, with specialist instructors offering private lessons in piano, violin, flute, and cello. A broad range of arts clubs is offered, including drama, percussion, photography, and dance, along with an orchestra club. The program encourages student creativity through a variety of performing arts opportunities.
Individual language lessons led by foreign teachers are available in English, German, and French. Outings and exchanges provide immersion in British life, including field trips to Cambridge and Oxford and visits to London museums and theatres. Japanese Evening invites students from nearby schools to learn about Japanese culture. Open Day (cultural festival) is held each year for the wider community.
After-school and weekend clubs cover a wide spectrum, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, tennis, kendo, table tennis, softball, cooking, flower arrangement, tea ceremony, drama, percussion, public relations, light music, outdoor study, photography, dance, lacrosse, and orchestra. There are active ties with the local community, including sport and culture exchanges with nearby schools and participation in village church Sunday services. Open Day and Japanese Evening are community-facing events that invite local students and families to learn about Japanese culture.
The school has a student council and various committees; elections for the student council and the handover of responsibilities within clubs and committees occur each term.
Wellbeing is supported through Friday Sports and a wide range of sports and outdoor activities; the campus offers a 400m all-weather track, three football pitches, eight tennis courts, a gym, a kendo hall, a science building, and a library on the English countryside grounds.
