English and French are taught across the two curricula. Reading in English begins in Reception year with phonics sessions; French phonemes and graphemes are introduced later in Grande Section (Year 1) and completed in CP (Year 2) using the Méthode Bosher reading scheme. The program fosters fluent reading and writing in both languages, with home reading and weekly library sessions. The school welcomes children aged 2 to 11 from all nationalities, including those who already speak French and/or English or who wish to acquire these languages.
The Stewart Bilingual School teaches a dual British and French curriculum. The National Curriculum of England and the Education Nationale French program are taught. Each class has two qualified teachers, one English and one French, as well as a teaching assistant. The lesson is taught in the morning in one language and in the afternoon in the other, ensuring an equal number of hours for each curriculum.
