Ogden International has an active school community with formal structures that connect families and the broader community. Friends of Ogden raises funds to support educational programming at The Ogden International School of Chicago; founded in 1991 to help purchase playground equipment, Friends of Ogden is a small nonprofit with a board that includes parents, community members, faculty and staff. Local School Council meetings are held across the three campuses, and the entire Ogden community is encouraged to attend and participate; agendas are posted at least 48 hours before meetings. The Local School Council maintains transparency and invites community input through meeting agendas, minutes, and public participation.
Parent Advisory Council (PAC) empowers parents to partner in educating children at Ogden International, a Title I school. The PAC brings together parents/legal guardians, teachers/staff, and community stakeholders to plan, design, implement, and evaluate the Title I Program. The PAC uses Parent Engagement Funds to create strategies for participation and two-way communication involving student learning and school activities. The PAC meets monthly and welcomes all parents and community members. The PAC provides input on amendments and future Title I programs and makes recommendations on the school's Title I Program, Parent Involvement Policy, School-Parent Compact, and the expenditure of Title I funds.
