The Dewey Schools operates as part of the Edufit Education Group, a private Vietnamese education organisation that manages several school systems nationwide. The school system began development as part of Edufit’s expansion of bilingual and international K–12 education offerings in Vietnam. The campus was developed within the Tay Ho Tay (Starlake) urban area as one of the network’s modern-purpose-built schools. The Dewey Schools positions itself as a forward-looking Vietnamese international school system integrating global programmes such as the IB MYP and DP.
The Dewey Schools integrates community service activities into its educational approach, emphasising responsibility, empathy, and care for both local and global issues. Students are encouraged to investigate real-world problems and design solutions, and they are supported to organise and participate in community projects and volunteer work. Examples include student involvement in a charity trip to Quảng Bình where students, parents, and staff helped build facilities at ethnic minority schools, and a fundraising campaign for the Vietnam Red Cross driven by student-led awareness and apparel sales. Additional activities cited for the broader Dewey system involve environmental research and cleanup efforts and creative sustainability projects, reflecting broad student engagement in community-focused learning.
The school does not publicly disclose information regarding PTA.
The Dewey Schools Tay Ho Tay is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and an authorized IB World School offering both the MYP and DP programmes.
