The school has a boarding residence with 75 rooms; each room accommodates two students and has an ensuite bathroom. Floors are separated by gender; house parents live in the residence, creating a safe, family environment where students can study, socialize and work together. There is on-site counselling and nursing support, full laundry and housekeeping services, and weekend excursions and meals provided daily.
Uniform is required for Grades 6-10 and for Grades 11-12. The Uniform (Grades 6-10) fee is CAD 500, and the Uniform (Grades 11-12) fee is CAD 800.
Dining features a buffet with hot and cold dishes, fruit, salads, a sandwich bar and hot entrees. Breakfast and dinner are served; lunch is shared in the dining hall for day and boarding students; meals accommodate allergies and preferences, with cultural variety in dinner menus and snacks available.
Boarding life is organized around a house-style residence with two students per room; gender-separated floors; house parents and dorm staff oversee the community to provide a caring environment.
The school is part of the Brookes Education Group; Brookes Westshore Society is governed by the Board of Directors as a not-for-profit organization responsible for running the school.
Brookes Westshore is an international day and boarding school in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It is an IB World School offering the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 6–10 and the Diploma Programme (DP) for Grades 11–12, alongside the BC curriculum for Primary Years (Grades 4–5) with an inquiry-based approach. Joining in Grades 4–5 prepares students for the IB pathway, and graduates earn both the IB Diploma and the BC Dogwood diploma. The purpose-built campus, opened in 2018 by Brookes Education Group, supports technology-enabled learning. The school serves about 250 students across Grades 4–12, with average class sizes around 20 and a 1:15 faculty-to-student ratio, drawing over 22 nationalities. Facilities include Science Labs, an Art Studio, a Design space, a Gym, a Boarding House, Cafeteria, and social spaces; students access nearby tennis courts, soccer fields, a baseball diamond, and hockey rinks.
