St. Jude's Academy was founded by Aaron Sawatsky. It is part of Our Family of Schools alongside The Maples Academy and Oakwood Academy. It is a non-denominational private IB World continuum school with JK–12. A strong community of parents and IB World leaders supports learning and inquiry.
Parent involvement is integral to St. Jude's Academy and the St. Jude's Academy Parent Guild generously volunteers their time to plan events and fundraisers and raise involvement for the community. The school community is welcoming, warm and accepting of all members from Junior Kindergarten through Upper School. Parent events include Parent Events, Parent Orientation, Welcome BBQ, New Parent/Teacher Social Event, MYP & DP Info Session, and Dynami Parent/Teacher Social Event.
The St. Jude's Academy Parent Guild is the school's parent-teacher association. The Guild volunteers their time to plan events and fundraisers and raise involvement for the community. They organize and support events such as Welcome BBQ, New Parent/Teacher Social Event, MYP & DP Info Session, and Dynami Parent/Teacher Social Event. Participation strengthens connections among families, students and faculty. A calendar of events is available to help families participate.
St. Jude's Academy is a private, non-denominational IB World continuum school in Mississauga, Ontario, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) JK–6, the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) 7–10, and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) 11–12, culminating in the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The school operates across two Mississauga campuses: JK–8 at 2150 Torquay Mews and 9–12 at 6745 Century Avenue, with easy transit access via major routes. Facilities include a year-round indoor sports dome, a residence for international students, a cafeteria, and classrooms. The IB curriculum is delivered by specialist teachers in French, Music, Art, Drama and Physical Education, with a dedicated Media Arts class in MYP and TOK/EE/CAS emphasis in DP.
