Language Provision

English and French are the core languages of instruction; a third language (Spanish) is introduced, and Modern Greek is introduced as well. In the IB Diploma Programme, Language A and Language B can be French or English depending on the student's mother tongue. AIS prepares students for an IB pathway with bilingual education.

Bilingual Teaching

Bilingual instruction in French and English from kindergarten through high school. The high school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and AIS is an IB candidate school pursuing authorization. Language A and Language B can be French or English depending on the student's mother tongue.

Immersion Programs

An international curriculum taught in English offers balanced teaching in both languages. An introduction to English is offered in kindergarten and continues throughout the grades. A third language is introduced (Spanish) and Modern Greek is also introduced. Bilingual teaching uses about 60% English.

Antonia International School is an independent, private bilingual school in Montpellier serving ages 2 to 18. It offers a complete curriculum from kindergarten to high school, combining French and English instruction and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in DP1 and DP2. The school uses Pédagogie du Sens, a holistic approach that integrates academic learning with creativity, well-being and social development. With more than 25 nationalities, AIS emphasizes inclusive pedagogy tailored to neuro-typical and neuro-atypical learners, including HPI, ADHD, and DYS. The curriculum includes bilingual French/English instruction, with a third language option (Spanish) and an introduction to Modern Greek.
