It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
The school operates from two main campuses at 7 and 11 Rue Chardin in Paris' 16th arrondissement, housed in two private mansions fully renovated and dedicated to children, with a third campus on Avenue de New York (Hotel Mona Bismarck) for sports and events. The campuses are located on a quiet street near the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadéro gardens, and many museums. Classrooms are brand-new, spacious, warmly decorated, and filled with natural light. Three theme-based spaces are dedicated to artistic activities, sports, and a bilingual library. The canteen is soundproofed and fully equipped with age-appropriate furniture and materials, and a bilingual library allows quiet moments in small groups, with murals by artists decorating the spaces.
From preschool onward, children regularly participate in age-appropriate sports. Maya, the motor skills teacher, coordinates the school's sports activities and works with different classes multiple times a week. Soft Gym provides relaxation, yoga, and Pilates for younger students, and Dance is offered to preschoolers on a weekly basis. From the age of three, children learn through organized activities that develop movement, balance, and coordination. Students go to the municipal swimming pool, Emile Antoine, for Swim Class weekly: CP/CE1 from September to March and GS from March to June.
The bilingual elementary classes accommodate up to 20 children aged 6 to 12, with Francophone and Anglophone teachers working in close coordination. Academic learning takes place in the morning, with afternoons dedicated to Arts, Sports, and small group activities centered on research and reflection topics. Art and Sports are fully integrated into the curriculum as essential parts of learning. The 2-year-old bilingual section uses Montessori pedagogy, with teaching inspired by Maria Montessori's practical life, language, and sensorimotor activities. There is no uniform in elementary, but the school provides sportswear and drawing materials.
The school offers three types of extracurricular activities: after-school care (4:30 p.m.–6 p.m.), extracurricular activities until 5:30 p.m., and training courses for short vacations as well as for the summer vacations. After-school workshops last about an hour and are designed around Arts and Sports, and may be conducted in English or French. During holidays, bilingual training courses cover cultural, artistic, and sports topics with external experts, including partnerships with museums such as Musée en Herbe. The school has a partnership with Musée en Herbe for certain extracurricular activities and projects.
École Bilingue Chardin is a private bilingual preschool and elementary school in Paris's 16th arrondissement, offering a French and Montessori curriculum for children aged 1 to 12. The school operates on two main campuses at 7 and 11 Rue Chardin, with a third site at the Mona Bismarck Hotel for sports and events, near the Eiffel Tower and Trocadéro. The bilingual English–French program includes a bilingual literacy track and class sizes capped at 20, with two teachers per bilingual class (one native English speaker and one French speaker). The 2-year-old bilingual section follows Montessori pedagogy, emphasizing practical life, language, and sensorimotor activities. Facilities include brand-new classrooms, a bilingual library, dedicated art and sports spaces, a soundproof canteen, and murals by contemporary artists. Partnerships with Musée en Herbe and Galerie Mennour enrich art experiences. After-school care and holiday programs extend learning beyond the day. Classes emphasize language, math, arts and sport.
