Anglais Académique et Section Anglophone offers three Anglophone programs: Etudes Anglophones (EA), Anglais Avancé (AA) and Anglais Renforcé (AR). The Collège program covers 6ème to the last year of Cycle 3 (4 hours per week). The program emphasizes differentiated pedagogy to address student heterogeneity and to develop English proficiency and enthusiasm. The themes build solid knowledge of the Anglo‑Saxon world and foster imagination, with a focus on the five language skills, including oral production through routines, presentations, games, songs and plays; the end-of-cycle target is often A2. In 5ème, 4ème and 3ème (Cycle 4) (3 hours per week), the program is immersive and reflective, using authentic documents and more complex language; projects explore geography and culture of the Anglophone world, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, the United States, India and South Africa, through literature, film excerpts and creative/theatrical activities. The aim is to broaden horizons and connect knowledge across disciplines via project pedagogy, with end-of-cycle levels typically around B1 or above. In Lycée (Seconde to Terminale), the program moves beyond Cycle 4 themes, focusing on description, argumentation and refined thought; Level goals reach around B1–B2 by Seconde and B2 or B2+/C1 by Terminale to prepare for the Baccalaureate and higher studies in France and abroad, supported by an eight-axis program around Gestes fondateurs et mondes en mouvement and a project‑based approach that fosters collaboration, critical thinking and autonomy, complemented by Higher Education Advisers.
Extracurricular activities include the Wednesday afternoon Step Programs for primary students. The Anglophone Section includes a charitable Red Nose Day and a trip to Ireland in 5ème. The Lycée offers Electives in subjects such as film‑making, debate, journalism, creative writing, social responsibility and marketing. A New Student Mentoring program assists students from around the world in adapting to life at La Tour, and Higher Education Advisers help with university applications worldwide. The PTA supports Anglophone Section activities through regular meetings and communications to families.
Institut de la Tour is a Catholic girls' school located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, serving students from ages 11 to 18. The school follows the French national curriculum but features a specialized Anglophone Section. In this track, students prepare for the Baccalauréat Français International (BFI). This specific program requires students to complete literature, history, and geography coursework in English, taught by native-level instructors. The campus includes science laboratories and dedicated rooms for visual arts and music. A signature initiative of the school is its theater program, where students perform plays in English to develop linguistic fluency and public speaking skills. The school also participates in international Model United Nations conferences. Located near the Trocadéro, the school uses its central urban position to integrate Parisian cultural sites into its history and art history lessons. Students in the Anglophone Section are integrated with the French stream for non-linguistic subjects.
