The Lab School Paris is an innovative, bilingual, united, secular, and eco-responsible school. It welcomes children from CP to 2nde, divided into double-level class groups: CP/CE1, CE2/CM1, CM2/6e, 5e/4e and 3e/2nde, with about 15 pupils per level and about 30 per class. There are two campuses: Paris location at 46 rue de Montreuil, 75011 Paris, and Montreuil location at 38 Rue Parmentier, 93100 Montreuil. The Paris location includes an entrance hall, a versatile space for games and work, and a multipurpose room with a kitchen, as seen in the campus images. The pedagogy is hybrid, drawing on Montessori, Freinet, Dewey, Neill, and Steiner, and incorporating current research in education, psychology, sociology, neuroscience, philosophy, and anthropology. The teaching is bilingual with co-teaching in French and English, with a supervision ratio of one teacher for a maximum of 15 children.
The 11th and 12th grade classes follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. The Lab School Paris combines the French education system's curriculum with attention to socio-emotional development and autonomy. From CP to 2nde, classes are organized in double-level groups with about 15 pupils per level and around 30 per class. Project-based and interdisciplinary learning are central, with a school schedule that blends fundamental learning, collaborative projects, and other activities to support student development.
After school, children can take part in extracurricular workshops as part of the Arts and Science Lab. Annual after-school workshops are offered. A daycare is offered to all elementary students, and a study hall is available for middle schoolers. Extracurricular activities are integrated with the Arts and Science Lab to support hands-on, project-based learning.
