Lab School Paris is a bilingual secular school in France serving students from CP to 2nde, with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme offered in Première and Terminale. English and French are the languages of instruction, and the school follows the French curriculum while emphasizing social and emotional development and student autonomy. Classes are organized in double level groups such as CP and CE1, CE2 and CM1, CM2 with about fifteen pupils per level and roughly thirty per class, to support collaboration and individual attention. The pedagogy blends influences from Montessori, Freinet, Dewey, Neill, and Steiner, and draws on current research in education, psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, and anthropology. There are two campuses, Paris and Montreuil, with co teaching and a supervision ratio of one teacher for fifteen students. Extracurriculars include an Arts and Sciences Lab, after school workshops, and diverse activity options. The school encourages creativity, critical thinking, teamwork and empathy.
